Heyday Tote Bags in NY TImes

by Kevin 12/14/11
category: NEWS/EVENTS

So we made some custom tote bags to accompany the Architecture + Design Museum installation we did last summer and the NY Times picked up on them and included them in last Sunday's fashion article: Totes as the "It" Bags. As our first and probably last fashion endeavor we are honored to be in the company of Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs!

A friend sent us the link to this picture that is posted on the real estate website Curbed. The built project on top is Rock Row which we completed in 2010. The rendering on the bottom was recently released by another firm for a similar small lot development. We're flattered.

Plan Check Corrections

category: HEYDAY HOMES: Silver Lake

In the midst of plan check corrections. Nothing seems too bad, mostly just adding notes to plans. There are four major categories of corrections:
-Building Plan Check (architectural items like railing height and path of travel distances to exits)
-Structural Plan Check (checking the structural calculations to see if beams etc... are sized properly)
-Grading (are retaining walls designed properly and is the drainage correct)
And the new one:
-Green Building (are the materials to the proper VOC content levels, is there room for solar...)

A lot of leg work but nothing too daunting so far.

1. Start biking up the 4th street bridge heading east
2. Take the offramp on the right side
3. At the bottom of the ramp take a left on Palmetto
4. In about 100 yards pull into the alley just before the brick building
